KISSING POWER

Lick your lips and pucker them up, close your eyes and find the other ones erogenous labia oris … yes, those in the face (this time then;-)).
This is a license to kiss, whenever and wherever you possible can!

BECAUSE…

It's insanely good for us, there are many wonderful powers hidden behind a sizzling kiss.
Besides the fact that it's simply lush to kiss, there are, according to science, particularly sensational sensations and effects that are cranked up in the body and the brain.

Here are 9 of the greatest, most glorious (health) reasons to kiss:

1.
Kissing ensures that your happy hormones get a huge boost. We are talking about a delicious cocktail of chemicals that is guzzled down by the pleasure center in your brain. We're talking about chemicals such as oxytocin ( it calms, relaxes & reduces anxiety), dopamine and serotonin, which make you feel euphoric and can encourage feelings of affection and connecting with others.

It also lowers your cortisol (stress hormone) and this lowering of your cortisol and therefore stress also ensures that you have a better self-esteem (People with higher levels of cortisol feel more insecure).

2.
According to Andrea Demirjian's book*, kissing increases the heart rate, widens blood vessels, increases the blood flow, which all helps to reduce blood pressure.
So kissing is literally and metaphorically excellent for your heart.

Expanding blood vessels and increasing blood flow can also lessen or dissolve cramps and headaches.
So the excuse; "not tonight love, I've got a headache", is just not gonna fly anymore!

*Andrea Demirjian wrote the book: "Kissing: Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About One of Life's Sweetest Pleasures."

3.
Kissing can stimulate your immune system and relieve allergic reactions.
Yep! In fact, with the wonderful exchange of saliva, you actually expose each other to new germs that strengthen your immune system. As strange as it may sound, when you are confronted with certain germs, your immune system learns to be resistant to these… well, that's brilliant, right?

And Kissing relieves allergic reactions such as hives due to pollen/hay fever and dust mites.
Stress aggravates allergic reactions. And as kissing reduces stress it will therefore help to alleviate allergic reactions.

4.
According to a study in 2009, romantic kissing lowers cholesterol levels.
The research found that couples who increased the frequency of romantic kissing showed an improvement in their serum cholesterol.
And if you keep your cholesterol levels well under control, you reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke. So start kissing already!

5.
kissing even reduces the chance of getting cavities.
Because kissing increases saliva production, which lubricates the mouth and ensures that you can swallow better.
This way you can swallow more food residues, so that less sticks to your teeth, which means it reduces tooth decay and cavities.

6.
It's a sublime barometer to see if you're a match made in heaven with a love interest.
Kissing can, according to a study in 2013, help you assess how suitable your potential partner is.
According to the women that were interviewed, a juicy first kiss can determine whether there is that ultimate attraction…or not.

7.
And of course, kissing with your love interest/partner increases your sex drive.
Lustful kissing leads to sexual arousal and is often the driving force behind a woman's decision whether to have sex with someone…again, or not!
Saliva contains testosterone - a sex hormone that plays a role in sexual arousal. The longer and more passionately you kiss, the more testosterone is released…

8.
The more you kiss, the more you're working those facial muscles.
During the act of kissing, you can use from 2 up to 34 facial muscles. Kissing often and using these muscles is like a proper workout for your face - and possibly even your neck! This can help to strengthen your facial muscles. Training these muscles can also increase collagen production, contributing to firmer, younger looking skin. NICE!

9.
And yes, it even burns calories.
The use of the same facial muscles as described above also burns calories. You can burn from 2 up to 26 calories per minute, depending on how passionately you kiss. This may not be the best training regime if you are trying to lose weight, but for many it's better than working up a sweat in the gym…

-*-

So kissing is, next to being just absolutely awesome in itself, also pretty damn healthy!
Especially when it's done with passion, with lust and even more so when it leads to wonderfully naughty boudoir shenanigans.
And you know what? It's such an international thing, everyone understands the lingo of kissing…

Lots of kisses, pecks, bisous, besos and kusjes,
Pleasurements
