SEX!

…now that I have your attention; Sex, of course, has always been around…well, none of us would exist otherwise, duhuh!
Even though sometimes we might think or might have thought that in the olden days…I mean, waaay back, peeps wouldn't discuss sex or eroticism.
Maybe they where more prudish? More demure?
THEY.
Were.
Absolutely.
NOT!
Just like in present-time, sex and erotica was also rife in the olden days and could and can be found in all art forms like literature, poetry, theatre and (other) visual arts…
And historical erotica and literotica is always such a wonderful topic to discuss!
A lot of all this has had such an impact on basically all current artforms…
(and you can even see the inspiration in the likes of the world of fashion and lingerie design!)
To stay on the sex & erotic subject, it might be interesting to stumble upon the sexy poems by Walt Whitman this time..
Walt Whitman 1819 (New York)- 1892 (Camden, New Jersey), was next to being a poet, essayist also a journalist.
A collection of his poetry was published in 1855, called "Leaves of grass".
And, well, some of these poems are rather hot!
Take this excerpt from "A Woman Waits For Me", for example…
"It is I, you women, I make my way,
I am stern, acrid, large, undissuadable, but I love you,
I do not hurt you any more than is necessary for you,
I pour the stuff to start sons and daughters fit for these States, I press with slow rude muscle,
I brace myself effectually, I listen to no entreaties,
I dare not withdraw till I deposit what has so long accumulated within me."
What did I say? Hot! Right?
